COOKIES

We use cookies to make our website user-friendly and optimally tailored to your needs. Cookies are small text files that are sent from a web server to your browser when you visit a website and stored locally on your device (PC, notebook, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

Numerous websites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier for the cookie. It consists of a character string that websites and servers can use to associate the specific web browser in which the cookie was stored. This enables visited websites and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other web browsers that contain other cookies. A specific web browser can be recognized and identified via the unique cookie ID. This information is used to automatically recognize you when you visit the website again using the same device and to make navigation easier for you.

You can consent to or reject cookies – including those for web tracking – using your web browser settings. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies altogether or to inform you in advance when a cookie is about to be saved. In this case, however, the functionality of the website may be impaired (for example, when placing orders). Your browser also offers a function for deleting cookies (for example, via “Delete browsing data”). This is possible in all common web browsers. Further information on this can be found in the user manual or in your browser settings.

DATA PROTECTION PROVISIONS ON THE APPLICATION AND USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS (WITH ANONYMIZATION FUNCTION)

If you have given your consent, this website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC. The responsible service provider in the EU is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

1. Scope of processing

Google Analytics uses cookies, which enable us to analyze your use of our website. The information collected through cookies about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

We use the ‘anonymizeIP’ function (so-called IP masking): Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

During your visit to the website, the following data is collected, among others:

  • the pages you visit, your “click path”
  • Achievement of “website goals” (conversions, e.g. newsletter registrations, downloads, purchases)
  • Your user behavior (e.g. clicks, dwell time, bounce rates)
  • Your approximate location (region)
  • Your IP address (in abbreviated form)
  • technical information about your browser and the devices you use (e.g. language settings, screen resolution)
  • Your internet provider
  • the referrer URL (from which website/advertising medium you came to this website)

2. Purposes of processing

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your (pseudonymous) use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyze the performance of our website.

3. Recipient

Recipient of the data is

  • Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland

as a processor. For this purpose, we have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. Google LLC, based in California, USA, and possibly US authorities can access the data stored by Google.

4. Transfer to third countries

A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out.

5. Storage period

The data we send and linked to cookies is automatically deleted after 14 months. Data whose retention period has been reached is automatically deleted once a month.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by

a. Do not give your consent to the setting of the cookie or

b. Download and install the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

You can also prevent cookies from being saved by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, some of the functionality on this and other websites may be restricted.
